THE heat of the moment had obviously gotten on TnT coach Nash Racela and Barangay Ginebra governor Alfrancis Chua as the two had some choice words at each other at the half of Game 3 of the PBA Governors Cup semifinals on Friday.

Racela and Chua exchanged verbal invectives at the hallway of the Smart Araneta Coliseum as the Kings and Katropa were heading back to their locker rooms at the intermission.

The two team officials had to be separated by cooler heads from both sides, with commissioner Chito Narvasa also trying to pacify both of them.

Olsen Racela, brother of Nash and deputy coach at Ginebra, went out of the team dugout upon learning his younger sibling was having words with the sports director of the SMC Group.

Racela and Chua were already getting under each other's skin late in the second quarter owing to a technical foul called by the referee.

The Kings led the Katropa at the break, 60-49, with the defending champions enjoying a 27-8 disparity in attempts from the foul line.
