WHAT’s in a name?
The TnT franchise enters the PBA bubble carrying a new team name as it will now be known as the TnT Tropang Giga.
Team management explained the word Giga is derived from the Greek word ‘gigas’ meaning giant.
“So we don’t just go big, but we always go Giga,” said the team in a statement Saturday.
The Tropang Giga goes at the Clark Freeport bubble with high hopes of going big in the restart of the Philippine Cup on Oct. 11.
The team easily boasts one of the most formidable starting units in the league led by two-time best point guard of Asia Jason Castro, vastly-improved Roger Pogoy, sophomore standout Bobby Ray Parks, Troy Rosario, and new acquisition Poy Erram.

New acquisitions Simon Enciso, JayJay Alejandro, and Lervyn Flores are also coming in and help the Tropang Giga compete for the Philippine Cup title they last won in the 2013 season.
TnT is coming off back-to-back semis stint from last season, capped by a runner-up finish in the Commissioner’s Cup.
“Giga sa laro, Giga sa samahan, Giga sa saya, Giga sa panalo,” added the team in the same statement.
“Likewise, we want to promote our masaya ang affordable TnT Giga packs.”
