GAME One of the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals between San Miguel and TNT is set to be put under protest by the KaTropa.
TNT team manager Virgil Villavicencio signed the scoresheet and wrote the words 'Under Protest' right after the match, which the KaTropa lost, 121-110, after blowing a 23-point lead against the Beermen.
Table officials also confirmed that Villavicencio confirmed the team will send a letter to the Commissioner's Office to formalize the protest.
Villavicencio declined to reveal the grounds for the planned protest but coach Nash Racela and the players expressed frustration over the referees' calls over the course of the match.
"Tanungin mo bakit ganun tawag nila," Racela said when asked about the matter.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said a letter should be submitted to his office on or before 12 noon of the next day to make the protest official.
