PHOENIX defeated Converge, 104-96, on Tuesday in their tune-up game for the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.
The Fuel Masters continued their winning ways in the preseason against a shorthanded FiberXers squad that played without an import.

Phoenix played minus Jason Perkins and Ricci Rivero in the game but import James Dickey took advantage of Converge playing all-Filipino.
The FiberXers were also without Juan Gomez de Liaño and Justine Baltazar due to their Gilas Pilipinas commitments.
Calvin Abueva saw action in his first tune-up game with the FiberXers but played limited minutes.

Phoenix coach Charles Tiu also played down the win as the Fuel Masters are still very early in their preseason campaign, but added he saw some positives in the game.
