Clash of ‘Giants’
Titan Ultra and Macau clash in a game between teams at the bottom of Group A. The Giant Risers recently claimed their first win after upsetting TNT, 103-87, last Wednesday, while the Giant Pandas are still searching for a breakthrough after dropping a 106-103 decision to the Tropang 5G last Sunday.
Macau looks to repeat
As they go up against the Risers, the Pandas are in a similar position as last conference. Macau was also winless before finally claiming that elusive win in the eighth game of the Commissioner’s Cup by beating Titan Ultra, 119-107.
Will history repeat itself?
Yu’s key role with Titan
He may not score much of the points for Titan Ultra, but Fran Yu was surely responsible for many of them. Yu amassed a conference-high 11 assists against TNT to continue to establish himself as a premier point guard in the league. He is now averaging 8.0 assists for the Giant Risers this conference.

In need of win
TNT and Terrafirma are eager to grab a victory following their defeats in their previous contests.
The Dyip squandered a late lead against San Miguel to drop a 109-104 decision last Saturday. The Tropang 5G were stunned by Titan Ultra, 103-87, last Wednesday.
Too many easy points
TNT was outscored by Titan Ultra in points off turnovers, 17-7, even though the Tropang 5G had less turnovers, 16-14, and more steals, 12-7. They also failed to contain the Giant Risers from two-point range, where they allowed shoot 67-percent shooting.
Juami continues fine play
Juami Tiongson nearly became a hero for Terrafirma against San Miguel when he scored a go-ahead three, but immediately became a goat when he committed two turnovers that led to baskets by George King.
Nevertheless, Tiongson has reverted to his old role as the Dyip's No. 1 scoring option. After his 27-point outing where he shot 5-of-10 from threes vs. the Beermen, he is now averaging 19.9 points and shooting 41-percent from three-point range.
