TITAN Ultra got a victory in its first tune-up game in its build-up for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup after beating Blackwater, 96-88, on Tuesday at the Ronac Gym.

Joshua Munzon, Aris Dionisio, and rookie Bryan Sajonia gave a good account of themselves in the all-Filipino match-up with the Giant Risers still without an import and the Bossing opting to sit out Daniel Ochefu.

Rensy Bajar and Mike Fermin were among the shot callers for Titan Ultra in the game as the Giant Risers have yet to announce their next head coach following the exit of Johnedel Cardel at the end of the Philippine Cup.

The Giant Risers are on a period of transition after they traded their go-to-guy Calvin Abueva to Converge for Rey Suerte, King Caralipio, and rookie Mark Denver Omega.
