DASMARINAS CITY - For Tim Cone, the clock is ticking as he gave Barangay Ginebra exactly 24 hours to rebound from what he describes as a ‘terrible game.’
The Ginebra coach says the Kings couldn’t play the same way they did in Wednesday night’s 87-80 loss to Meralco if they’re hoping to salvage their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series.
The loss at the Dasmarinas City Arena was the second straight for the second-seeded Kings, who now trail in the best-of-seven series for the first time, 2-1.

“We were really outplayed. What can I tell you? Terrible game,” an exasperated Cone said on the way out of the venue along with deputies Richard Del Rosario and Olsen Racela.
“We didn’t deserve it. They did,” he added. “They outshot us, they outplayed us, outcoached us.”
The Bolts controlled the game from the get-go, never giving the Kings the chance to get into a groove except for a 2-0 lead.
While Ginebra had the edge in other departments, the Kings shot only 36 percent from the field (28-of-76), compared to the 40 percent of Meralco (33-of-81).
The Kings were also outscored in fastbreak points, 17-8, and points from turnovers, 17-10,

“We got to change things up, we can’t play the same way,” said Cone. “We got to figure it out.”
Game 4 is set at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday.
