BARANGAY Ginebra coach Tim Cone expects TNT to come back strong after its defeat in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup finals.
Cone expects the Tropang Giga to contend for a title with a predominantly young core led by Bobby Ray Parks that still has veteran leadership in Jayson Castro.
“I think everybody is going to have a rivalry against Talk ‘N Text,” said Cone. “They are primed to really step into another level. They are fairly young. Jayson, I think, have a couple of really good years left as long as he can stay healthy.”

“Aside from that, their core is very young with Troy (Rosario), (RR) Pogoy, (Simon) Enciso, and Bobby Ray, still a second-year player. They have a really, really young core that they are going to build on and I think they’ll just going to get better and better.”
“I think that if (we) are all not careful, they will become the dominant team in the next few years,” said Cone.
However, Cone said there will still be other teams that will remain contenders for the next seasons.

“But San Miguel has something to say about that. I think that the other team that people need to keep their eye on is Phoenix. They are a talented team that has created chemistry and they can be a team to reckon with over the next few years as well,” said Cone.
“We will always have that corporate rivalry between us and Talk ‘N Text. San Miguel will have it, Purefoods (Magnolia) will have it, and that’s going to blossom. But they are going to have a say on who keeps to win these championships. Hopefully, we will be in the mix as well,” said Cone.
