BARANGAY Ginebra coach Tim Cone believes Denzel Bowles will be fired up for the upcoming PBA Commissioner’s Cup when the import returns for another tour of duty with the Star Hotshots.

This will be Bowles' fourth stop with the squad, but his first without Cone in the same team, as the two-time Grand Slam winning coach transferred to the Gin Kings late in 2015.

Cone sees Bowles playing with more fire this conference after he witnessed how the import was devastated in failing to lead Star to the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup title.

“I think Denzel will be very, very motivated. He wasn’t satisfied the last time he came back and I think he is really keen to get here and play again. Remember, he took us all the way to the semis when we lost to the eventual champion in Ivan Johnson (Talk ‘N Text),” said Cone.

“He has been in the semis and the finals whenever he is in here,” he added.

Cone also notes that Bowles could be extra pumped up in facing his former coach when the Star Hotshots play the Gin Kings.

“He’s a stud and he’s going to be motivated playing Ginebra. Another guy we have to worry about,” Cone said.

Nevertheless, Cone’s fondness in Bowles remains even if they are on rival teams now.

“Denzel is such a good guy. He has a great heart. I always felt he represents imports very well because he is such a good guy and he plays the game very well,” he said.
