THE battle for tickets for Game 7 of the PBA Governors’ Cup finals has moved to social media.
With a record number of fans expected to troop to the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan for the thrilling conclusion of the PBA season, tickets have been selling like hotcakes even in the black market.
Scalpers have even take their trade to social media, opening accounts on Facebook to peddle tickets at two, three times their original price.
A check on a popular online selling site saw patron tickets worth P550 now being sold at P1,500, or almost triple the face value.
Lower box tickets, meanwhile, are also being sold at least double the face value as P250 tickets are now priced at P600 in the black market.
The tickets are expected to be sold at a higher price in the black market with Game 7 fast approaching.
A total of 53,642 witnessed Game 6 of the PBA Governors’ Cup between Barangay Ginebra and Meralco, a new record for the Philippine Arena, said to be the world’s largest arena.
