VIC Manuel believes Alaska has regained its mojo and has a chance to make another run deep into the playoffs of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The Aces won their second straight blowout game - and third game overall - with a 105-89 decision of Phoenix on Friday night, prompting Manuel to think they are completely over the finals heartbreak in the Philippine Cup.
“Naka-move on na kami kasi sabi nga namin makuha lang namin uli 'yung first win namin may chance na magtuluy-tuloy. At yun nga, three-game winning streak na kami,” the Aces workhorse said. “Focus pa rin kami every game. One game at a time lang kami.”
Manuel sustained his efficient play, scattering 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting, four rebounds, two blocks, one steal, one assist, and no turnover in 24 quality minutes off the bench. He was later named the game's best player.
“Siguro lagi lang akong ready,” said the 6-foot-4 power forward, who has been tasked, at times, to guard the opponent’s import.
And Manuel is just hoping he continues to repay Compton and the rest of the staff’s faith.
