Talk ‘N Text nailed its first win in the PBA Governors’ Cup, routing erstwhile unbeaten Petron, 102-87, Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
After losing their first two games, the Tropang Texters finally played with enthusiasm, scoring in triple figures for the first time in the season-ending conference.
Import Paul Harris led the balanced scoring attack of the Texters, coming up with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Ranidel de Ocampo, Jared Dillinger, and Japeth Aguilar also contributed heavily, scoring 23, 15, and 10 points, respectively.
The Boosters, led by import Eddie Basden’s 19 points and 13 boards, lost for the first time in three outings.
Leading by just five, 46-41, at the half, the Texters pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Boosters by seven, 30-23.
