IT was one memorable night for Terrence Romeo and he made sure his first born and namesake would be very much a part of it.
For the very first time, the San Miguel star appeared with Terrence Jr. in public following the Beermen’s dramatic Game 7 win over Magnolia on Wednesday night in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
The three-time league scoring champion said that has been the plan before if and when he’ll finally win his first-ever championship as a pro.
“Yun talaga ang plano ko na pag nag-champion kami doon ko siya ilalabas,” said Romeo, who carried the 11-month old baby in his arms during the team’s victory celebration at the Smart Araneta Coliseum floor after the defending champions’ 72-71 win over the Hotshots.
“One way din yun para mamulat siya sa basketball world,” added Romeo, who finished with four points and played heads-up defense against Magnolia pesky guards Jio Jalalon and Mark Barroca.
And like any father, Terrence also wants junior to follow in his foosteps, if ever he wants to pursue a basketball career in the future.
“Gusto ko rin sana maging player siya kung gugustuhin niya,” said Romeo.
