TERRENCE Romeo will report to San Miguel Beer practice on Thursday, team manager Gee Abanilla said on Wednesday.
Team management asked Romeo to join the team on Thursday even as the Beermen got together on Wednesday for their first training session of the new year with stars June Mar Fajardo, Marcio Lassiter, Alex Cabagnot, Arwind Santos and Chris Ross back from a holiday break.
Christian Standhardinger has yet to join the team as management has allowed him to have an extended vacation after a grueling 2018 that saw him play in the Asean Basketball League, San Miguel and the national team.
Aside from the team's practice, San Miguel management also briefed the team ahead of Romeo's first official day with the Beermen.
San Miguel made a blockbuster trade last month, acquiring Romeo from TNT for Dave Semerad, Brian Heruela and draft picks.
Even though he has yet to attend SMB practice, Romeo has been keeping himself in shape in preparation for his return to the team, according to persons close to him.
