PBA star Terrence Romeo spent the early hours of Thursday in a Quezon City police station after his group figured in a fight outside a bar along Tomas Morato street.
According to GMA News Online, Romeo's group figured in a scuffle with a man who had earlier sought the TNT KaTropa guard's autograph.
Police were called in and the two groups were brought to a police station for questioning. No charges have been filed at posting time, news reports said.
A video by GMA News Online later showed the enigmatic Gilas Pilipinas mainstay leaving QCPD's Station 10 on Thursday morning tailed by a swarm of reporters.
Stopping to make a brief statement, Romeo said, "Ito lag po sasabihin ko, check n'yo na lang po 'yung CCTV, then pagkatapos n'yo po i-check yung CCTV … tyaka niyo ako balikan."
According to ABS-CBN News, a woman claimed his husband was punched by a member of Romeo's entourage after having a selfie taken with the player.
Romeo denied that the attacker was part of his group, she added.
The incident comes just over a week after Romeo figured prominently in a brawl that marred Gilas Pilipinas' Fiba World Cup qualifier against Australia at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
