TERRENCE Romeo faces his former team as TNT KaTropa and GlobalPort face off on Sunday night when the PBA season resumes with the Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Shipped by GlobalPort where he showcased his individual brilliance for almost five years, the three-time scoring champion makes his debut for the Texters in their matchup at 6:45 p.m.

“Excited ako na tulungan yung TNT. Para sa akin, long process ‘to eh,” Romeo said. “Hindi ko gaano binibigyan yung sarili ko ng pressure kasi alam ko na yung mga kasama ko, talagang magagaling. Talagang lahat sila, maaasahan mo, lahat sila kayang gumawa ng plays.”

“So ako, ang gusto ko dito ako mag-grow long term. Dito ako matuto, and hopefully, dito ko makuha yung first championship ko,” he added. “Pero yun nga, kailangan pagtrabahuhan ko.”

The 26-year-old combo guard has been rusty in his tune-up games with the Texters, although he has still flashed his scoring prowess.

“Out of shape pa ako. Ang dami ko pang kailangan habulin,” the former UAAP MVP out for Far Eastern University said. “Medyo galing ako sa injury, ang tagal kong walang laro, so kailangan dumating yung time na magampanan yung role ko dito.”

Mo Tautuaa, who the Texters gave up to get Romeo, makes his debut for the Batang Pier, insisting that facing his former team is nothing personal.

“Just another game, man,” the Filipino-Tongan big man said. “This is our job to play basketball, so that’s all I’m going to go out to do. Whether I drop forty or ten, it doesn’t matter as long as our team gets the win. That’s (TNT) just another team to me now.”

“They’re not my business anymore,” he added. “I’m not worried about them, and that’s the past for me. I need to continue to focus on me, myself, and my new team, and build something here.”

Tautuaa forms a triple tower combination with Kelly Nabong and import Malcolm White, who matches up with the Texters’ Jeremy Tyler.

Former Globalport import Jarrid Famous suits up for Blackwater as the Elite take on a Columbian Dyip side that’s fielding CJ Aiken in the curtain-raiser at 4:30 p.m.
