ANTIPOLO – Terrence Romeo will sit out at least another week due to an Achilles injury.
San Miguel coach Leo Austria said Romeo has been advised to rest as he has been nursing the injury during the Philippine Cup finals.
Romeo has not played this conference and missed the Petron Saturday Special game against TNT. He was also not present at the Ynares Center.
“He will be out maybe one or two more weeks. Depende,” said Austria.
When asked about the injury, Austria said: ‘Yung Achilles may inflammation eh. He was advised by the doctor to rest and then wala siyang gagawin kundi mag-therapy at mag-strengthening.”
“Kita niyo linaro niya. Dumepensa siya ng husto para kay Barroca at Jalalon from the backcourt to the frontcourt tapos na-aaggravate ‘yung Achilles,” said Austria.
Romeo as well as Chris Ross missed the first game but Ross returned on Saturday, finishing with nine points, five rebounds, and eight assists.
“Terrence has been playing very hard, sila ni Chris Ross. Mabuti nga nakapaglaro sila ng maayos (during Philippine Cup finals) kahit may injury. Last game, hindi naglaro ‘yung dalawa. Mabuti nakarecover na si Chris and he contributed a lot especially sa stability ng tea namin. That was what we were missing in our first game against NorthPort,” said Austria.
