IT'S official: No more taped-up shoes for GlobalPort star Terrence Romeo starting next season in the PBA.
Romeo just gave fans a look at his first signature shoe with Peak in an Instagram post on Friday afternoon.
"First look on the TR7 ver 1.0 What do you guys think? #TRforPeak #TR7 #Icanplay," he said in a post on his IG account @tbvrome07 on Friday afternoon.
The Peak TR7 version 1.0 with a "TR Logo" at the tongue has yet to be released officially by Peak, but it already posted an image on Facebook last September 22 with a caption "#1".
It wasn't actually the first time he wore it, though.
The flamboyant guard was seen wearing the same pair in their game against Blackwater and in one of the practices of the Philippine team bound for the Fiba Asia Champions Cup.
Romeo told SPIN.ph in a chat then that his teammates at GlobalPort were already asking him for a pair before it was even released.
"Humihingi na nga sakin teammates ko e," he said with a laugh.
This makes Romeo the first Asian to have a signature shoe with the Chinese brand, whose other endorsers are NBA stars Tony Parker and Matthew Dellavedova.
