TERRENCE Romeo won his first-ever Honda-PBA Press Corps Finals MVP after an impressive showing for San Miguel Beer in the Commissioner’s Cup title series against his former team TNT KaTropa.
Romeo averaged 14.8 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in the Beermen's 4-2 win over the KaTropa to gain the nod of the scribes covering the PBA beat in only his second conference with the team.
Incidentally, the former Far Eastern University star won the finals MVP at the expense of his former team TNT, which traded him before the season to San Miguel.

Romeo didn't have a big offensive night in the Beermen's title-clinching 102-90 win in Game Six as he scored 10 points and shot just 3 of 13 while missing all six of his three-point attempts.
Romeo, however, played the role of the court general and dished out seven assists, tying Chris Ross for team honors.
Romeo’s biggest game offensively in the series came in Game Two when he scored 29 points including a three that sent the game into overtime. The Beermen won the match in the second overtime, 127-125, to level the series.
