ANTIPOLO – Terrence Romeo will not suit up for San Miguel in its match against his former team TNT on Sunday.
San Miguel coach Leo Austria said Romeo is still not practicing with the Beermen since he suffered an ankle sprain in his season debut with his new team last week against Columbian.
Austria said he has no plan to field Romeo in the game against TNT, which traded the flamboyant guard to the Beermen last season for David Semerad, Brian Heruela and a future first-round pick.
“Terrence, since he got his ankle injured, hasn’t practiced with us. I think he wants to be back a hundred percent dahil everybody is expecting that he will do well,” Austria said.
Romeo showed up in street clothes for the second straight game, which saw the Beermen rip Meralco, 105-93, without him.
“Ayaw namin ma-aggravate pero everyday, nagte-therapy siya,” Austria said.
