GLOBALPORT guard Terrence Romeo and Ginebra guard Eman Monfort were each fined P30,000 for fighting in a tune-up game last January 16 at the Green Meadows gym that was eventually called off by game officials.
Commissioner Chito Salud handed down the penalties after a review of the official game video, which showed the two trading punches at the 6:33 mark of the second period after a couple of highly physical skirmishes.

GlobalPort big man Kelly Nabong was also fined P10,000 for taking a fighting stance during the fracas, which prompted the referees to call off the match with Ginebra leading, 38-31.
It was also later revealed that Nabong accidentally hit Ginebra star Mark Caguioa in the face with an elbow during the dust-up.
