THE will to win was so much for Terrence Romeo that he didn't mind playing extended minutes for GlobalPort in its thrilling PBA Governors Cup game against Meralco Sunday.
The prolific shooting guard played a total of 50 minutes during the back and forth match that went into double overtime before the Batang Pier finally pulled off a 126-123 victory.
Romeo finished with 24 points, three rebounds, and seven assists while playing the most number of minutes in the team's first win in the season-ending conference after a 0-4 start.
He admitted fatigue was already catching up on him late in the 58-minute game.
"May time ( na napapagod) ka, pero dahil gusto mong manalo, hindi mo na iniisip yun," said Romeo.
"Basta compete lang ng compete."
Only Meralco import Allen Durham played more minutes than Romeo between the two teams, playing for 52 minutes and finishing with a conference-high 55 pts.
