TERRENCE Romeo didn’t mind playing more than anticipated in his first game back for GlobalPort in its 110-105 loss to NLEX in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Friday night.
The Batang Pier star said before the game that he would play just limited, quality minutes as he madehis comeback from a three-game absence due to a calf injury.
He ended up playing 29 minutes.
“Na-manage ba (yung minutes ko)?” Romeo asked in jest after the game.
The 5-foot-11 playmaker made the most of his playing time as he scattered 27 points – built around eight three-pointers, on top of five rebounds, five assists, and one assist.
“Masaya syempre,” he said.
But it took a toll on his body after the game.
“Masakit yung buong katawan ko,” the 24-year-old cager admitted.
Romeo and the of the Batang Pier suffered a double-whammy as they wound up getting eliminated from playoff contention – just a conference removed from making a maiden semifinal appearance.
