THE last time Terrence Romeo played on a Christmas Day, he was still in a GlobalPort jersey.
That's why he made sure to make today count.
The 31-year-old guard led San Miguel to a sweet victory, 117-96, against Phoenix on Monday with a goal in mind: to give Beermen fans a holiday to remember.

“Papunta pa lang, excited na talaga ako maglaro kanina kasi pinaghandaan ko ‘yung game na ‘to. Napakatagal na nung last time na naglaro ako ng pasko,” he told SPIN.ph.
Romeo tallied 22 points, eight assists, and two steals to steer SMB in one of his finest game since coming out of a long injury playoff.

His last Christmas Day game came in 2015 with GlobalPort, against Barako Bull at the Mall of Asia Arena. Now wonder he's excited.
“Excited talaga ako maglaro sa maraming crowd, tapos, ‘yung mga fans pinili nila na panoorin kami for Christmas, kaya thank God nakuha namin ‘yung panalo,” he added.
He has one wish this holiday season.
“Pinaka-grateful ako sa health ko na nakabalik na ulit ako, sana magtuloy-tuloy na healthy ako buong season. ‘Yun ang wish ko for this Christmas,” he said.
