ANTIPOLO – Terrence Romeo admitted his emotions got the better of him at certain points of GlobalPort’s 133-106 loss to Alaska in the PBA Governors’ Cup on Wednesday night.
The Batang Pier superstar hinted he was annoyed at some calls as he committed four turnovers, including two dribbling violations in successive possessions in the second quarter that led to him resenting the call and getting a technical in the process.
"May mga ibang part ng game na pumasok yung inis sa isip ko," Romeo said.
“God bless na lang doon sa tatlo, ayokong pangalanan pero ang popogi nila,” the flamboyant 24-year-old playmaker added in a sarcastic tone, apparently referring to the referees.
Romeo still managed to score 26 points on a decent 10-of-17 shooting clip, but insisted he continued to be affected by a bum stomach that caused him to miss practice a few days before their game against Alaska.
"Nandun, nandun (pa rin yung feeling sa tiyan), parang mabilis akong mapagod," said Romeo, who played almost 40 minutes.
Romeo, however, remains upbeat of the Batang Pier’s chances despite falling to a 3-6 win-loss record.
“Sa practice na kami mag-uusap kung anong magiging adjustments namin,” he said.
