TERRENCE Romeo is not worried about the possibility of playing less minutes at San Miguel as he looks forward to transforming into a winner with the Beermen.
The go-to guy on offense in his two previous teams, Romeo said he is willing to take a back seat to his star-studded teammates led by four-time MVP June Mar Fajardo as he still has a lot to prove to the multi-titled team.
“Ang totoo kasi, champion na sila, wala pa ako,” Romeo said in an interview with reporters after his first day of practice with the Beermen.
Kung ano man ‘yung alam kong tama, I’m sure makikita naman nila.
Romeo, 26, said minutes, or lack of it, won’t be an issue at all with his new team.
Gusto naming manalo.
"Kahit hindi ako gamitin or saglit lang playing time ko, as long as nananalo kami, walang problema sa akin.”
The former Gilas Pilipinas mainstay said he is excited to learn new things at San Miguel.
“Wala akong galit kahit kanino.
Romeo said he is happy with how the first day went although he admitted still having a long way to go before learning the system of head coach Leo Austria.
“Masaya. Sobrang winelcome nila ako. Okay naman lahat. Lahat mababait. Pinag-aaralan ko pa,” said Romeo.
