TERRAFIRMA is going for a seven-footer in its bid to become a more competitive team for the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup.
The Dyip have signed Mubashar Ali, a 28-year-old Finland-born player who played college in the US for Florida Memorial University, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) member school.

Ali played pro ball in Turkey for Ankaragucu Mamak, Finland for KTP Basket, and Georgia for Iverioni. Last season while playing for Iverioni, Ali averaged 14.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in six games with the ballclub.
The Dyip are definitely hoping for the same production from Ali as he provides the much-needed ceiling for the team that only won a single game during the season-opening Philippine Cup.
Last season, Terrafirma also won one match in the Commissioner’s Cup with imports Ryan Richards and Brandon Edwards.
Head coach Ronald Tubid said Ali will arrive in the country next week.
