ANTIPOLO – Terrafirma pounced on an all-Filipino Titan Ultra squad, 113-100, on Friday to start its PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup campaign on a winning note at the Ynares Center.
Justin Strings had 25 points and 16 rebounds, while Geo Chiu set career highs with 19 points and 23 rebounds against an import-less Giant Risers side in a rare auspicious debut for the lowly Dyip.

The Giant Risers played without their import James Milton, who has yet to receive a FIBA clearance to be eligible to play for Friday’s game.
Terrafirma repeated its Commissioner’s Cup debut last conference where the Dyip trounced the Giant Risers, 112-82.
“Too early pa,” said Terrafirma coach Ronald Tubid. “Kailangan every game, in practice, we need to compete.”
Terrafirma actually had six players in double digits with JM Bravo chipping in 15 points, and Didat Hanapi making 14 points.
Juami Tiongson had 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting in his first game back with Terrafirma since being traded by San Miguel along with Chris Miller last June in exchange for Jerrick Ahanmisi and Paolo Hernandez.
With Titan Ultra playing without an import, Aris Dionisio (21) and Joshua Munzon (15) picked up the scoring load in the loss.
