TERRAFIRMA looks to continue its unbeaten slate on Wednesday in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup, as Meralco makes its conference debut as the conference shifts to the Ynares Center-Antipolo.
Here is a preview:
TERRAFIRMA VS. BLACKWATER
When: Wednesday, March 18. 5:15 p.m.
Where: Ynares Center-Antipolo
Dyip aim for 3-0 start
Terrafirma battles Blackwater in a game where the Dyip are going for win No. 3 to begin the conference. The Dyip won their second straight victory after beating Converge in overtime, 111-100, last Saturday, duplicating their 2024 Philippine Cup start in the same conference where the team last appeared in the playoffs.
A win will enable the Dyip to close in on their best start in franchise history when they went 4-0 to begin the 2016 Governors’ Cup.
Bossing out to bounce back
Blackwater dropped an 84-81 loss to NLEX last Friday to open the conference, but the Bossing were in the thick of the fight during that contest until Robert Bolick to come through in the clutch for the Road Warriors.
What Ali Mubashar will do for an encore
Terrafirma goes into the game against Blackwater with Ali Mubashar producing 50 points and 25 rebounds in the win over Converge. Fans await what's next for the Finnish-born Dyip import against the Bossing, who will be up against Daniel Ochefu for the contest.

MERALCO VS. CONVERGE
When: Wednesday, March 18. 7:30 p.m.
Where: Ynares Center-Antipolo
FiberXers seek to atone
Converge stumbled early in its Commissioner’s Cup stint after the FiberXers were beaten by Terrafirma, 111-100, in overtime. The FiberXers were highly-rated during the preseason after making moves to acquire Calvin Abueva and Mikey Williams, and a second straight defeat is definitely not what fans were expecting from the ballclub.

Meralco debuts after import switch
Meralco plays its first game of the Commissioner's Cup after making a change of import when the Bolts signed Marvin Jones in lieu of Ismael Romero.
The Bolts seemed to have found an import in Romero that is fit to them after being their reinforcement in the EASL, but controversy followed the Puerto Rican import after a kicking incident with former PBA player Nick Demusis in a game in Dubai.
Mikey Williams still struggling
The past two games of Mikey Williams seem to be an adjustment phase for him especially on the offensive side. Williams combined for only 1-of-14 from the field over the last two games, including a 1-of-10 outing for five points against Terrafirma last Saturday. If Williams finally gets his groove on Wednesday, that's good news for Converge.
