The 33-year-old British was the 49th pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Spurs, but never got to play with the NBA franchise.
But he had long years of experience playing overseas, taking his act to Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Georgia, Poland, Austria, Dubai, Greece, Hungary, Iran, China, Lebanon, Bahrain, Macedonia, Estonia, Angola, and Venezuela.
He spent some time suiting up in the Japan B.League where he played for teams Aomari Wat’s, Yamaguchi Patriots, and Shinagawa City.

Richards also spent time playing for the Great Britain national team in 2012 and in 2017-2019.
The mid-season campaign marks the first PBA head coaching job for Raymond Tiongco, who filled in the void after Johnedel Cardel was fired by Terrafirma.
