AMID the happy scenes at the Big Dome just moments after Barangay Ginebra's 29-point blowout win over San Mig on Friday night, LA Tenorio was quick to remind Kings fans about one thing.

    Ginebra hasn't achieved anything yet.

“We just tied the series with the win,” said Tenorio after the vengeful Gin Kings lynched the Mixers, 93-64, in Game Two of their PBA Philippine Cup semifinal playoff at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"Wala naman kaming special na ginawa so we just can’t be contented and pat our backs for a great job because it’s (series) not yet over," added the wily Ginebra playmaker.

Despite Tenorio's warnings, however, Ginebra still has a lot to be happy about after a Game Two win that saw the Gin Kings play wonderful defense and dominate the boards for a change.

By winning the rebound battle, 55-32, and holding San Mig to 33 percent field goal shooting behind a zone defense, Ginebra was able to atone for a meltdown in Game One and seize the momentum in the best-of-seven series going to Game Three on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Hopefully, makuha lang namin yung momentum for the next game,” said Tenorio.

Ginebra coach Ato Agustin, however, warned that he expects veteran San Mig coach Tim Cone to come up with his adjustments, especially against the Ginebra zone, to try to regain control of the series.

“Siguro na-surpise sila (Mixers) sa zone defense namin, so kailangang ma-anticipate namin ano gagawin nila. We just need to watch the video to know ano ang lapses namin,” said Agustin.

Still, San Mig forward Joe Devance, who was held down to just two points after scoring 20 in Game One, said they are the least bit worried at this stage of the series.

“We know its Ginebra, never-say-die. They (Gin Kings) live for it (in Game Two). They played a great game, and we just didn’t have the energy,” he said. "But we’ll be ready for our next game."

Even San Mig playmaker Mark Barroca said the 29-point margin of victory, or his meager seven-point production in Game Two, mean nothing in the series.

“Kahit wala akong score, wala akong pakialam, basta ang importante, mag-match up lang kami,” said Barroca. “Iyung 29 points na lamang, sa next game, kahit manalo kami ng one point, pareho lang yun.

"Basta manalo kami, mabubura na 'yun.”
