CLARK FREEPORT – Veteran LA Tenorio has finally joined Barangay Ginebra inside the PBA bubble on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, the league’s ‘Iron Man’ brought some bad news with him.
The 36-year-old Tenorio has yet to get clearnace from his doctor whether he can already suit up right away in the PBA restart that kicks off on Sunday.
“Questionable pa. Sabi ng doctor, day-to-day basis talaga,” said the Ginebra playmaker.
Tenorio is almost two weeks removed from laparoscopic surgery, a minimally invasive surgery to remove his appendix.

While he can already do extended walking and traveling long distance, it appears heavy workout remains a no-no. At least until his last visit with the doctor prior to going inside the bubble.
“Sabi kailangan niya makita everyday (yung condition ko) through video call,” Tenorio disclosed.
Good thing it wasn’t a ruptured appendix.
“Kaya yung healing process mabilis-bilis,” he admitted. “Pero siyempre kailangan pa rin talaga may clearance.”
The uncertainty surrounding Tenorio’s availability has obviously cast doubts on whether he can sustain his league record 641 consecutive games, as per PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon III.
The number has become the new benchmark in the league that earned Tenorio the ‘Iron Man’ tag.
But there remains a slight chance for the Ateneo alumnus to be given the go-signal to play in time for the Kings’ game against the NLEX Road Warriors in the season opener on Sunday.
“Sana maging okay na this week,” he said.
