CLARK FREEPORT – Barangay Ginebra is finally in full force in the PBA bubble after the last-minute entry of key players LA Tenorio and Japeth Aguilar.
But will the two be game-ready in Sunday’s opener against NLEX?
That’s what concerns coach Tim Cone the most.
“Just the day before the game is the time that we’re getting LA and Japeth back into the lineup, so we don’t know if we’ll get contributions from them in our first game,” said Cone on Saturday.

Tenorio and Aguilar travelled to Pampanga just this week and only had a day of practice with the Kings.
The 36-year-old Tenorio, according to Cone, has already been given the clearance by his doctor to play after undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy two weeks ago.
But whether the two are good to go remains a big question mark.
“We’re a little bit more concerned about preparing ourselves rather than preparations for NLEX at this point,” said Cone.

For the team known for its never-say-die spirit, it’s always the next man up should Tenorio and Aguilar end up unable to deliver the usual numbers.
“We certainly have guys who can step and fill the void, so that’ who we’ll go with,” said Cone.
“One thing for sure, everybody is expected to play again.”
