BINAN, Laguna - Jayson Castro led a torrid start that carried Talk 'N Text to a 122-106 win over Barako Bull in their one-sided road game at the Alonte Sports Arena here.
Castro scored all but four of his game-high 26 points in the first half, exploding for 14 in the first quarter alone when the Tropang Texters built a 40-20 lead that only got bigger as the game wore on.
The Tropang Texters never looked back from there, opening leads as big as 31 points, 54-23, on the way to their fifth win in eight games - a record good enough for joint fourth place with idle Ginebra.
Jimmy Alapag added 14 points in his finest game for Talk 'N Text since his stint in the World Cup and Asian Games while fellow Gilas mainstays Larry Fonacier and Ranidel de Ocampo added 13 points each.
New-boy Paolo Hubalde scored 19 for Barako, which saw a two-game winning streak snapped to drop to 2-6.
