AFTER three days of evaluation and negotiations, the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters have finally sealed a deal with a new import.

Coach Norman Black informed Spin.ph on Wednesday that they have chosen Jerome Jordan to be their next reinforcement to replace Donnell Harvey, who had to rush home because of a family emergency.

Jordan, the 44th pick overall in the 2010 NBA rookie draft by the Milawaukee Bucks who also played for the New York Knicks, was picked from a shortlist that also included Ike Diogu and Chris Daniels.

The seven-foot Jamaican also had a stint in Serbia and Slovenia before strutting his wares in the NBA D-League where he suited up for the Erie BayHawks, Reno Big Horns and just recently the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Like Diogu, Jordan was once eyed by Barangay Ginebra to replace Herbert Hill in the early stages of the current conference.

“Ang laki niyan, sentro talaga yan. Nagdo-double-double yan noon sa D-League. Magaling yan,” said a Ginebra source, who said that Vernon Macklin was the team’s original first choice.

Expected to arrive on Thursday, Jordan has D-League career averages of 13 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.
