THE PBA Commissioner’s Cup has been over for one month now but Su Braimoh is still in the country cheering and supporting his old team Meralco.
Braimoh has been a regular behind the Bolts bench during the Philippine Cup. He was the team's first import in the Commissioner’s Cup starting in November, although his campaign ended prematurely due to a torn Achilles.

It is the same injury that is keeping Braimoh in the country as he opted to do his rehabilitation here.
“He is taking therapy here,” said Trillo. “He wants to do it here.”
The 34-year-old has been all over the world after his brief stint with Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA G League during the 2011-12 season, having played in Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, Germany, and Israel.

Trillo said the team appreciates Braimoh’s presence to support the team during the Philippine Cup, which he says is a reflection of his attitude. That's the reason why Meralco brought him in as its import in the first place.
“Okay naman siya. Ayaw niya umuwi. Puwede naman siya mag-therapy. Pero mabait si Su,” said Trillo.
Braimoh played for five games with the Bolts and looked on his way to becoming a Best Import candidate. He averaged 32.8 points, 12 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.2 steals before going down with the injury.
Due to the nature of the injury, Braimoh’s injury would take months to heal. But once he recovers, the Nigerian-American could be in line for a return to the Bolts since the 49th season will start off with the Philippine Cup before the import conferences are played.
Braimoh comeback?
Trillo said the 6-foot-8 Braimoh is definitely under consideration to return for the Bolts in future conferences.
“If he is ready to go next year, nakita mo naman siya… If a guy with that caliber, of course,” said Trillo
