Ahanmisi tops local scoring; Berto, RJ among PBA stats leaders

The leaders in the stats also reflect in the team standings as Terrafirma, NLEX, and Ginebra are in the upper half of the standings

JERRICK Ahanmisi of Terrafirma leads the league in points, while RJ Abarrientos of Barangay Ginebra and Robert Bolick of NLEX are also among the leaders in multiple statistical categories for locals, as of the Holy Week respite, in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup.

Ahanmisi is ahead in scoring with an average of 23.75 through four games and it is no surprise that he is also at No. 1 in total field goals with 36, No. 3 in three-points made with 12, and No. 4 in four-points converted with three.

Abarrientos, on the other hand, is second in scoring with an average of 23.67, but is also No. 1 in assists-to-turnover ratio with 6.0 after being fourth in assists with 6.33.

Bolick also has similar statline as Abarrientos as he is third in points with 22.75 but shares first place in assists with 7.0.

The three are some of the reasons why their respective teams are in the upper half of the standings, as of the Lenten break.

Ahanmisi's Terrafirma shares second place with Bolick’s NLEX, Phoenix Super LPG, and Meralco with a 3-1 win-loss record, with Abarrientos' Barangay Ginebra closely behind at No. 6 along with TNT with a 2-1 win-loss slate.

Leading the league in average rebounds as of the Holy Week break is June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel, who has 17.5 following a total of 70. He is followed by Justine Baltazar of Converge (10.4, 52), and Geo Chiu of Terrafirma (9.5, 38).

Damian Chongqui of Macau shares first place with Maverick Ahanmisi of Terrafirma and Bolick in assists with 7.0.

Scottie Thompson of Barangay Ginebra leads the league in steals with an average of 3.5, while Zavier Lucero of Magnolia is ranked No. 1 in blocks with 2.5.
