GlobalPort on must-win mode after loss to Alaska but not rushing return of grieving Stanley Pringle

    Sep 8, 2017

GLOBALPORT remains clueless on when stalwart Stanley Pringle will be back for the team following the death of his father.

Pringle's father, a retired U.S. Navy, passed away Saturday last week and was interred on Friday. He was 66.

The prolific Fil-Am guard immediately left for Northfolk, Virginia shortly after the Batang Pier's 119-112 win over TnT Katropa at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Team manager Bonnie Tan said Pringle has yet to inform him of his possible return to the country, adding Globalport doesn't want to rush him at this time when the family is still grieving the death of its patriarch.

But no doubt, the Batang Pier misses Pringle in his absence.

The team lost the two games in which the former Rookie of the Year wasn't around against NLEX and Alaska.

The Batang Pier fell to a 3-5 card and need to sweep their last three remaining games against Star, Blackwater, and Meralco to stay in contention for a quarterfinals berth.
