STANLEY Pringle is back healthy again, with Rain or Shine's veteran guard in line for a return against Barangay Ginebra on Friday in the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup.
The 2015 Rookie of the Year had surgery to repair a right lateral meniscus tear after four games with the Elasto Painters last July 2025.

The 39-year-old Pringle already got a little taste of action in tuneup games, including an ‘On Tour’ game against TNT last September 26 in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.
“Tuneup games were ok, just focusing on rehabbing and building the muscles around my knees and everything,” Pringle said in a recent interview.
“It took a while (to recover). It took a lot of focusing on preparing to get on the court like mobilization, fixing my balance of the muscles and where to put the muscles at. So it took a while, but (I’m) getting the hang of it.”
Help for RoS
Pringle’s possible return could come against the Gin Kings, the same team where he won a Best Player of the Conference award during the 2020 Philippine Cup bubble.
At this point of his career, Pringle is no longer aiming to become the robust scorer that he once was, as his aim is just to stay healthy while on the court.
“I’m not trying to be like what I used to be. I’m just trying to focus on being the best I can be right now. We’re getting older,” he said.
“I don’t really try to put focus into that. Majority of the focus has been coming back from injury. This is my fourth knee surgery, so I’ve got to really be locked in and figure this out.”
Pringle is looking for his fifth career championship, an achievable goal, with RoS among top contenders.
“It’s always the goal: to win a championship. I like to look at it step-by-step,” he said.
