STANLEY Pringle was heavily fined and suspended for one game in the wake of the fracas that marred the tune-up game between NorthPort and Columbian Dyip last week.
Pringle was slapped a P75,000 penalty and suspended for a game for his hit against Columbian big man Jay-R Reyes.
The league's reigning scoring champion will miss the Batang Pier's game against Phoenix on Wednesday when the PBA Philippine Cup resumes.
Pringle along with teammate Mo Tautuaa were summoned by Commissioner Willie Marcial at the PBA office on Tuesday along with Reyes and Columbian Dyip teammates Reden Celda and Eric Camson to shed light on the Feb. 19 incident between the two teams held at the Greenmeadows gym.
Tautuaa, who the Dyip claimed kicked and punched Reyes at the height of the fracas, was spared of suspension as Marcial said the referees failed to catch the action when the incident took place underneath the Columbian basket.
The league commissioner though disclosed Tautuaa was fined a minimal fee for second motion.
Reyes reportedly brought a lawyer together with him when he showed up at the league office in Libis.
The Columbian big man suffered a lump behind his head and a bloodied nose following the fight, which necesitated him to spend a night at the Cardinal Santos hospital.
Reyes is expected to miss Columbian's next three games starting on Wednesday against Meralco.
