IN a rare milestone for the Terrafirma franchise, the team finally had its first-ever player to become a member of the 5,000-point club.
And the distinction belonged to veteran guard Stanley Pringle, who breached the mark on Wednesday in the Dyip’s PBA Philippine Cup game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at the Philsports Arena.

Pringle, the No. 1 overall pick by the Globalport franchise in 2014, scored the 5,000th point of his PBA career at the 4:02 mark of the second period to become the 100th player in league history to reach the scoring milestone.
According to PBA resident statistician Fidel Mangonon III, the 38-year-old Fil-Am is the 95th local player to accomplish the feat, 15th among the active players, and more significantly, was the first and only Terrafirma player to reach the scoring plateau.
He is the second player this season to reach 5,000 points after Meralco’s Chris Newsome.
Pringle was acquired by Terrafirma starting Season 49 from Barangay Ginebra along with Christian Standhardinger in the trade for Stephen Holt and Isaac Go.
Although he made a name while playing for the Batang Pier during the first five seasons of his career, it was while with the Kings that the San Diego, California native enjoyed personal success after winning four championships from 2019-2023.
A former Rookie of the Year and scoring champion, Pringle was adjudged the Best Player of the Conference during the 2020 Philippine Cup bubble in Clark, Pampanga.
Unfortunately, he hasn't had a lot to celebrate at Terrafirma, where he’s been 3-28 this season heading to its game against Rain or Shine.
