CHRISTIAN Standhardinger of NorthPort and Allen Durham of Meralco were awarded with the Gatorade Best Player of the Conference and the Bobby Parks Best Import of the Conference, respectively, for the PBA Governors’ Cup on Wednesday.
Standhardinger and Durham were given the trophies before Game Four of the Governors’ Cup finals between Barangay Ginebra and Meralco at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
It was the first major award of Standhardinger in his PBA career, which came after the former top pick in the draft was traded from San Miguel to NorthPort.
Durham, meanwhile, captured his third Best Import award, and now has the second most in PBA history behind the seven of Parks.
Standhardinger got 1,011 points to win the BPC – 396 coming from the statistics, 433 from media, 32 from players, and 150 from the PBA, beating former teammate June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel.
Fajardo, a cinch for a sixth yearend MVP award, finished with 657 (438 from statistics, 4 from media, 140 from players, and 75 from PBA), while Jayson Castro of TNT finished third at 615 (357 from statistics, 216 from media, 42 from players).
Durham, meanwhile, won over Justin Brownlee of Barangay Ginebra after tallying a total of 1,170 points – 500 from statistics, 420 from media, 100 from players, and 150 from the PBA.
Brownlee placed second in the race with 937 points after getting 504 from statistics, 229 from media, 129 from players, and 75 from PBA.
