[Editor's note: SPIN.ph puts the spotlight on the top Philippine athletes who stood out with stacked stat lines in the past week.]
LA Tenorio [27 points, 11 assists, five rebounds vs TNT] Tenorio had himself quite a game on Sunday in Ginebra’s win over TNT. It was the 33-year-old guard’s season-high in scoring, but more than that, the former Ateneo standout delivered his first double-digit assist game since late September. And it was also hs first 20-10 game in a long while, the last one was back in June 17, 2017 when Ginebra bowed out of the semis in the Commissioner’s Cup to, guess who, TNT.
Poy Erram [24 pts, 18 rebs, four blocks, three assists, two steals vs SMB] Erram helped break a Blackwater slump in style, against the PBA’s top big man June Mar Fajardo no less. Apart from his season-high in scoring and that ridiculous stat line against SMB last Friday, the league-leader in blocks also held the four-time MVP to just 12 points on 3-of-11 shooting. The breakout season continues for the Blackwater center.
Jema Galanza [20 pts per game in 2 games] The Lady Falcons were soaring this past week, beating the Lady Tamaraws and the Lady Maroons. In those two games, Adamson saw different players lead the way, but Galanza shone the brightest against FEU with 26 points, 17 excellent receptions and 15 digs. In the win over UP, she fired 14 points.
Robbie Manalang [40 pts, eight three-pointers vs Batangas-EAC] AMA Online Education finally scored a breakthrough win on Monday after a 0-3 start, thanks to Manalang’s scoring explosion. The former Adamson guard erupted for the highest output in the Aspirants Cup so far, hitting half of his 16 three-point attempts in the process.
Andrei Dulalia [24 pts, 21 rebs, three blocks vs UP] The UE Junior Warriors may have had a miserable UAAP Season 80 campaign but they ended it on a high note with a win over the Junior Maroons. Dulalia made sure to close it out with a bang as he had another 20-20 game.
