THE man who invaded the court wearing a Spiderman costume in Game Five of the PBA Philippine Cup finals has asked PBA commissioner Willie Marcial to drop the penalties given to Ronald Tubid, Kelly Nabong and two San Miguel officials for their role in the commotion.

In a three-part video blog posted on YouTube, Paolo Felizarta said there has been a huge misunderstanding about his move to run the court late in Game Five that led to him colliding with San Miguel star June Mar Fajardo.

Tubid and Nabong have both been suspended three games and fined P75,000 each for their role in the Game Five incident. Also penalized were San Miguel assistant team manager Daniel Henares and team doctor Ramon Ibanez, who were fined P50,000 and suspended two games.

Tubid was fined and suspended for punching Felizarta when he was already being escorted at the hallway leading to the dugout of the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, while Nabong was penalized for punching a man later identified as Flenn John Lola who was believed to be Felizarta’s accomplice.

Felizarta admitted in the vlog that Lola accompanied him at the game and was the person who wore the Spiderman mask for him.

But Felizarta insisted Tubid and Nabong didn’t deserve the sanctions since it was he who started all the commotion.

Felizarta also understands why Tubid and Nabong reacted that way because their teammate in Fajardo got hurt.

I can extract a lot of money from you guys kasi may mga good Samaritan na judge na pumunta sa presinto, waiting for me for four hours. Sinabihan ako na pwede mo akong maging legal counsel,” he added.

Misunderstanding lang talaga,” said Felizarta.

Felizarta said he only wanted to send a message of love in the days leading up to the elections.

“Nahihiya po talaga ako. Although hindi ko kasalanan ‘yung ginawa nila pero I was the one who initiated all of those.

Felizarta said he didn’t intend to collide with Fajardo, who he claimed he doesn’t know since he does not watch or even play basketball.

“Pero ang pagkakamali lang, mabilis ‘yung pangyayari. Walang time mag-unawaan. Nadala ‘yun ng emotion natin,” said Felizarta.
