DON'T believe everything you see on the surface in the case flashy Rain or Shine guard Paul Lee.

Beneath his tough-guy demeanor and on-court swagger, the popular 'Angas ng Tondo' is one sweet and romantic guy, so says the girl closest to Lee's heart.

Lee’s fiancee Rubie Chua shared that given a choice, the 26-year-old, hand-banging PBA star prefers romantic comedies over action films during their movie dates.

That Lee was born on Valentine’s Day partly explains his fondness for romantic movies and teleseryes, said Chua.

In the almost nine years that they've been together, the charming fiancé couldn’t be happier that they've already survived plenty of trials and have stayed together through thick and thin.

“Kapag pinag-uusapan namin ‘yung past ‘di namin akalain na tatagal kami,” she admitted.

And just like their favorite romantic-comedy movies, Lee and his longtime girlfriend are looking forward to forever.

The couple, who have already started paying for their dream house, are set to be wed this year, although Chua said she won't mind postponing the wedding until next year.

The year 2017 bears special significance to them, she shared.

“’Yung kasal this year, 2016, pero kasi tatapusin muna namin bayaran ‘yung house tapos ipon ulit,” she said. “Sabi niya kasi this year (ang kasal) pero feeling ko next year na eh, kasi syempre pag magpe-prepare ka ng kasal ‘di naman basta nandyan na agad. Ok lang naman sa akin kasi next year 10 years na kami.”
