THE Air21 Express have not just one but two juicy proposals on the table.
A day after reports came out about Air21 negotiations with Petron and Barangay Ginebra for high-scoring off-guard Joseph Yeo and big man Kerby Raymundo, imformation has reached Spin.ph that the Express are also in talks with the Meralco Bolts.
This time, it involves a direct swap involving Meralco's Mark Cardona and Air21 guard Mike Cortez.
Multiple sources told Spin.ph on Tuesday that two former De La Salle Green Archers will most likely switch sides in a trade that will most likely be consummated on Wednesday or Thursday morning.
As it is, Air21 is also in negotiations with Petron on a deal that would bring the seldom-used Yeo to the Express camp in exchange for Air21's first-round draft pick in 2014, and another with Ginebra for Raymundo.

Team insiders said Air21 is waiting for both deals to develop as the Express look to plug a gaping hole in their two-guard spot which either Yeo or Cardona, or both, can ably fill.
“Pending yang trade proposal na 'yan. Depende kung sino ang mauuna - Meralco o Petron. Pero nagsabi na kasi ang Air 21 na kailangan nila ng isang dos (two-guard),” said the source.
Air21 board representative Lito Alvarez, sources said, is deadbent on improving the team's backcourt, which as of the moment lacks a quality scorer.
“Yun talaga ang ina-address ni boss Lito: isang scoring heavy na off-guard. Kaya tingin niya either Joseph Yeo or Cardona yun,” said the source.
Over at the Meralco camp, coach Ryan Gregorio is said to be looking for a veteran guard to guide current starter Chris Ross, who has been struggling with an average of 4.67 turnovers in the Bolts' first three games.
Cardona has also become dispensable with the stellar play of new Meralco acquisition John Wilson, sources added.
Meanwhile, negotiations between Air21 and Petron are on hold pending the match between the two teams on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
