HAS the sore eyes bug just hit the San Miguel camp?
Apparently.
At least three key players were not around on Sunday in the Beermen’s PBA Philippine Cup game against the Blackwater Bossing at the Philsports Arena.

Juami Tiongson, Marcio Lassiter, and Jeron Teng sat out the game due to conjunctivitis as confirmed by team manager Gee Abanilla.
“Lima may sore eyes sa team,” he said. “Nagsimula kay Jericho, tapos si Jeron, Juami, and then si Marcio.”
And the fifth casualty? Team governor Robert Non.

In medical terms, sore eyes is caused by the inflammation of the conjunctiva, the thin membrane covering the eye and the inside of the eyelids.
“Uso ngayon kasi mainit ang panahon,” Abanilla added.
The absence of the three players left San Miguel with only a 10-man roster against Blackwater, but the Beermen still won, 115-78.
