BATANGAS CITY - The red carpet has been rolled out for Stanley Pringle as a sold-out crowd turned up at the Batangas City Coliseum to witness his debut for Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner's Cup on Sunday.
The Kings face the NLEX Road Warriors in Pringle's first game with the franchise following the blockbuster trade the Kings consummated with NorthPort Batang Pier last Tuesday.
The 32-year-old Fil-Am, last year's scoring leader, was acquired in exchange for the trio of Sol Mercado, Kevin Ferrer, and Jervy Cruz.
League officials said tickets for the Sunday doubleaheader were sold out the day before.
"Estimated sold out crowd is around 6,000," said Commissioner Willie Marcial.
The Kings are coming off a 110-107 overtime win over San Miguel last week prior to acquiring Pringle and carry an even 3-3 slate.
The Road Warriors meanwhile, finally broke through the win column after six straight losses by blasting Meralco the last time, 100-92.
