SAN Miguel tries to put its Game 2 drama behind in the hopes of scoring back-to-back wins in the PBA Philippine Cup finals against Magnolia.

The Beermen clash with the Hotshots Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for Game 3 of the title series currently tied at 1-1 following San Miguel’s 108-101 win the last time.

The victory by the defending champions however, was stained by the ejection of Terrence Romeo on account of two technical fouls in the fourth quarter.

The incident drew attention as Romeo had to be restrained by teammates and board of governor Robert Non, who was obviously not pleased with the way the three-time scoring champion acted.

But coach Leo Austria down played the slight fuss, saying the Beermen remains focus on the series ahead of them.

“We will take that positively because Romeo is really a warrior. He wants to win very badly and he wants to show something,” said the champion coach, adding practice went well as usual the day after the incident.

Magnolia meanwhile, hardly care about San Miguel’s internal wrangling as it has its own concern to think about following the Beermen’s dominant win.

“We need to dictate the tempo of the game,” said coach Chito Victolero on what the Hotshots need to do next.

“We need to put more effort and aggressiveness,” added Paul Lee, who finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
