ANTIPOLO – San Miguel will continue to miss the services of head coach Leo Austria due to a personal health issue.
Team management disclosed the 11-time PBA champion mentor has been advised to rest and take it easy for a while especially with the Beermen still in the early stages of their campaign in the Governors’ Cup.

Officials however, didn’t divulge the current condition of the 68-year-old coach, who missed the team’s third straight game on Wednesday night against Converge at the Ynares Center.
But they shared that Austria had been showing up in San Miguel practices, and from time to time, would draw up new plays for the team.
He also joins the Beermen during their viewing session.
It’s only during games that he’s not allowed yet to be on the SMB bench, according to them.
Management had to talk about Austria’s case to help clear the air that he’s not been replaced as SMB coach as perceived by netizens in several social media posts.
In his absence, lead deputy Peter Martin has been calling the shots for the Beermen, who won their first two games in the third conference against Terrafirma and guest team Macau.
